Camel silhouettes at sunset in Merzouga

The great dunes of the Sahara

Merzouga & Erg Chebbi

The orange dunes of Erg Chebbi rise up to 150 metres: a night in a Merzouga desert camp is Morocco’s most unforgettable experience.

About Merzouga & Erg Chebbi

On the edge of the Sahara, Merzouga is famous for Erg Chebbi, an ocean of dunes that changes colour throughout the day. You reach it after a spectacular crossing of the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the Dades Valley and the Todra Gorges.

At sunset, a camel caravan takes you to the camp. Berber dinner, music around the fire, a starry night of rare purity and sunrise over the dunes: a timeless moment.

Our 3-day tours from Marrakech include air-conditioned transport, accommodation and meals.
