Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data Maroc Travel Ride collects on private-taxi-marrakech.com, why, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights. It applies in accordance with Moroccan law no. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and, for visitors living in the European Union, with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Booking request: name, phone / WhatsApp, email (optional), date and time, number of travellers, pick-up and drop-off places, flight number, chosen vehicle and message.
  • Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), subject and message.
  • WhatsApp and phone: if you write to us on WhatsApp, your number and messages are processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms, then by our team to reply to you.
  • Technical data: IP address and connection details logged by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
  • Visit statistics: pages viewed, device type, approximate country… through Google Analytics, only if you accept it.

No payment data is collected: no payment is made on the website.

3. Why we use your data

  • To handle your request, reply to you, organise and provide the service (transfer, day trip, tour) — pre-contractual steps and performance of the contract;
  • to send you an email confirming your request — same basis;
  • to secure the website and prevent abusive submissions — legitimate interest;
  • to measure the website audience and improve it — your consent.

We do not sell your data and do not send you marketing without your consent.

4. Who has access to your data

  • the Maroc Travel Ride team and, only to provide the service, the driver or guide in charge of your trip (name, phone, place and time);
  • our technical providers, acting on our instructions: Vercel Inc. (website hosting), MongoDB Inc. — MongoDB Atlas (request database), Brevo — Sendinblue SAS, France (confirmation emails), Cloudinary Ltd. (website photos and videos), Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics if you accept it, Google Maps if you display the map of the Contact page) and WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (if you use WhatsApp).

5. Transfers outside Morocco

Some providers store data outside Morocco and the European Union, in particular in the United States. These transfers rely on recognised safeguards (European Commission standard contractual clauses, EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) and comply with law no. 09-08.

6. Retention periods

  • Booking requests and messages: 3 years from the last contact, then deleted;
  • data related to a completed service (invoicing): the period required by our accounting and tax obligations;
  • Google Analytics statistics: 14 months maximum;
  • your cookie choice: 6 months, after which we ask you again.

7. Cookies and trackers

  • Necessary — “mtr_consent” (browser local storage): remembers your cookie choice for 6 months. It does not require consent.
  • Audience measurement — Google Analytics cookies “_ga” and “_ga_*” (13 months): set only if you click “Accept”. If you refuse, Google Analytics is not loaded.
  • Google Maps map (Contact page): loaded only if you click “Show the map”; Google may then set its own cookies.

You can change your choice at any time: (link also available at the bottom of every page).

8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, ask for its restriction or portability, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at contact@maroctravelride.com: we reply within 30 days (proof of identity may be requested if there is a doubt about your identity).

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can contact the CNDP in Morocco (www.cndp.ma) or, if you live in the European Union, the data protection authority of your country.

9. Security

The website is served over HTTPS only, requests can only be accessed by our team through a password-protected area, and our providers apply recognised security measures.

10. Minors

Our services are intended for adults. A booking for a minor must be made by a responsible adult.

We may update this policy; the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
