In Morocco, a private transfer is priced per vehicle, not per person. With us, a Marrakech airport transfer starts at €20, Marrakech to Essaouira at €90 and Marrakech to Agadir at €120, for the whole vehicle. The price mainly depends on three things: distance, vehicle size and, on long journeys, the driver’s return trip. Here are our real prices, what makes them vary, what they include, and how to compare them honestly with a taxi or a bus.
Our prices, route by route
| Route | Premium SUV (1–3 people) | Mercedes Vito (1–7 people) | Mercedes Sprinter (8–16 people) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marrakech airport ↔ hotel or riad | €20 | €25 | €45 |
| Essaouira airport ↔ Essaouira | €20 | €25 | €45 |
| Agadir airport ↔ Agadir, Taghazout, Tamraght | €25 | €30 | €55 |
| Casablanca airport ↔ Casablanca | €35 | €45 | €70 |
| Marrakech ↔ Ourika or Imlil | €45 | €50 | €80 |
| Marrakech ↔ Essaouira | €90 | €100 | €150 |
| Agadir ↔ Essaouira | €100 | €110 | €170 |
| Marrakech ↔ Agadir or Taghazout | €120 | €130 | €190 |
| Casablanca airport ↔ Marrakech | €120 | €140 | €200 |
| Marrakech ↔ Merzouga | — | €320 | €480 |
For Merzouga, a Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 for up to 4 people is also available, at €350.
Why a price per vehicle?
Because the real cost is the vehicle and the driver, whether there is one person on board or six. That works in your favour as soon as you travel as a group: with six people in a Vito, Marrakech to Essaouira comes to about €17 each, door to door, with your luggage and the stops you want.
On the other hand, for a solo traveller without luggage, a private transfer is not always the cheapest solution, and we would rather say so.
What makes the price vary
- Distance and driving time, of course. A nine-hour journey ties up a driver and a vehicle for the whole day.
- Vehicle size: beyond three people with suitcases you need a Vito; beyond seven, a Sprinter.
- The empty return: on a long one-way trip, the driver often comes back without passengers. That is why Marrakech to Merzouga is not simply priced by the kilometre.
- Detours and long waits: a two-hour lunch stop or a detour to a village off the route are agreed when you book.
- Hard-to-reach places: some Agafay camps or isolated Atlas houses are reached by dirt tracks; we give you an exact price once we have checked the location.
What should not change the price
- Your flight being late: we track flights in real time, and waiting is included.
- Who you are or where you are from: the price is fixed when you book, not negotiated on arrival.
- Weather or rush hour: a booked transfer has no “rain rate”.
What the price includes
- The air-conditioned vehicle and a professional driver.
- Fuel, tolls and parking.
- Meet and greet with a name sign for airport arrivals.
- Water on board.
- Child seats, on request when booking.
- Reasonable photo stops on long journeys.
Tips are not included; they are not compulsory, but appreciated when you are happy with the service. Our article on tipping in Morocco gives honest guidelines.
An honest comparison with taxis and buses
| Route | Bus | Taxi | Private transfer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marrakech airport to the medina | City bus, awkward with suitcases | Price to negotiate, higher at night | €20 to €25 per vehicle, no haggling |
| Marrakech to Essaouira | About ten euros per person, fixed times | Grand taxi, often with a change | €90 to €100 per vehicle, stops as you like |
| Marrakech to Agadir | About twelve euros per person | Rarely direct | €120 to €130 per vehicle |
Our reading: alone or as a couple with no time constraints, the bus is unbeatable on long routes. From three or four people, with children, lots of luggage or a set schedule, a private transfer becomes competitive, and far more comfortable. Our article on taxis in Marrakech goes into detail for getting around the city.
Offers that look too good to be true
You will find much cheaper transfers online. Some are honest; others rely on vehicles not licensed for tourist transport, without insurance that covers passengers, or on drivers who “forget” to turn up when a better-paid job comes along. Before booking, ask three simple questions: is the price confirmed in writing? Is the vehicle licensed and insured to carry tourists? What happens if my flight is two hours late?
How to book at the best price
- Book ahead, especially for Easter, summer and the Christmas and New Year holidays.
- Give the right number of people and bags: a vehicle that turns out too small on arrival costs more than the right choice from the start.
- Group your journeys: airport, day trips and the transfer to the coast with the same company makes everything simpler.
- Ask for a quote for routes not in the table: we reply with a fixed price per vehicle.

In short
- A fixed price per vehicle, not per person.
- From €20 for an airport transfer to €320 for Marrakech to Merzouga.
- Waiting for late flights, tolls and fuel are included.
- Alone, the bus is cheaper; from three or four people, a transfer becomes competitive.
